This Privacy Policy discloses the online privacy practices for the Slemp Foundation (the “Slemp Foundation”) and applies to the information collected through www.slempfoundation.org (the Site) and through written educational scholarship and charitable grant applications submitted through the United States mail. By accessing and/or using the Site, you are consenting to the collection, storage, and disclosure of data as described in this Privacy Policy.

The Slemp Foundation reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter, update, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy. We will post any changes to this Policy on this page so you can readily review the most current version. We will alert you that changes have been made by indicating at the bottom of this Privacy Policy the date it was last updated.

Your IP Address
An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer every time you browse the Internet. When a user requests a page from the Site, our servers log the user’s current IP address. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our servers and to administer the Site. Educational Scholarship Applications
As described in our Terms of Use, The Slemp Foundation does not accept educational scholarship applications through the Site. When you apply for an educational scholarship in writing through the United States mail, you will provide a variety of information regarding yourself, certain family members and your educational scholarship request, including, without limitation, your name, address, phone number, financial status, social security number, and school grades. All or any part of the information we collect during the application process is referred to in this Privacy Policy as “Application Information.”

Disclosures to Third Parties Regarding Educational Scholarship Applications
When you apply for an educational scholarship in writing through the United States mail, your application will be processed in part through a third party who will also have access to the Application Information and is not subject to the terms of this privacy policy. In addition, if we award you an educational scholarship, we may disclose your name to the public by identifying you as a Slemp Foundation educational scholarship grantee, unless you notify us in writing that you do not wish to be identified publicly as a scholarship grantee. The Slemp Foundation does not sell or rent your Application Information to third parties.

Charitable Grant Applications
As described in our Terms of Use, The Slemp Foundation does not accept charitable grant applications through the Site. When you apply for a charitable grant in writing through the United States mail, you will provide a variety of information regarding your organization and your grant request, including, without limitation, your organization’s name, focus, address, phone number, financial history, tax identification number, and the purpose for which you intend to use the grant. All or any part of the information we collect during the application process is referred to in this Privacy Policy as “Application Information.”

Disclosures to Third Parties Regarding Charitable Grant Applications
As described in our Terms of Use, The Slemp Foundation does not accept grant applications through the Site. When you apply for a charitable grant in writing through the United States mail, your application will be processed in part through a third party who will also have access to the Application Information and is not subject to the terms of this privacy policy. In addition, if we make a grant to your organization, we may disclose your Application Information to the public by, among other things, identifying you as a Slemp Foundation grantee and describing your use of the grant. The Slemp Foundation does not sell or rent your Application Information to third parties.

Disclosures for Legal Reasons
The Slemp Foundation will also disclose information you provide, including but not limited to Application Information, when it believes, in its sole discretion, that the law requires such disclosures or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with the law; to protect and defend the rights or property of the Slemp Foundation or others; or to act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of the public or the users of the Site.
